Yes you can absolutely replace the worktop without disturbing the cabinetry.

to add the extra length of worktop the cost including the work required in removing and refitting your job would be approx an additional £350 - £400.

It can be done however you may find trying to source and exact match for the existing doors could be troublesome. if you have the manufacturer and range of the existing kitchen it shouldn't be too much of an issue unless it has been discontinued.

it shouldn't be a big expensive job at all, a day's work for a competent tradesman including alterations to cabinetry if required.
