install two steel beams in loft to support chimney

Two rear chimney breasts were removed about 17 years ago but the work was not completed in the roof space. A structural engineer has drawn up a spec to install two steel beams to load bearing walls to support the chimney. These need to be placed on concrete pads on top of the load bearing walls

How the work was to be done was fully explained. Builders arrived on agreed day and work was carried out quickly and efficiently. They were at pains to protect carpets and flooring and cleaned up well after the work was completed. I would thoroughly recommend
